The award-winning Whitko Community School Corportation serves all of Larwill.
Elementary students residing in town attend school in either Pierceton or South Whitley, both of which are about five minutes from Larwill.

Whitko Career Academy
The Academy is an exciting new educational opportunity for Whitko, Larwill, and all of northeast Indiana.
Located along State Road 5 on the south edge of Town is the Whitko Career Academy, a technical and vocational-based secondary learning experience. Opened in the fall of 2020, the Career Academy offers opportunities for students to learn skills applicable to a wide range of careers, in both established and developing occupational fields.
Sammons Memorial Park
Sammons Memorial Park is located on the west side of Center Street, just north of the railroad track. The park remembers firefighter Jeffrey Sammons, who lost his life in the 1997 blaze that destroyed the Farmers Exchange Tavern. The park is a central landmark for Larwill, and its gazebo is a meeting place for residents, especially on warm summer evenings.

The Larwill fire department is made of volunteer firefighters from Richland and Etna Troy Townships. They’ve served the community for decades and provide rental of the firehouse for events.
